Lori McClallen
A 25-year veteran of youth and high school soccer coaching, Coach McClallen has been involved with Summit FC from its origins as the Rutland County Soccer Club. She has coached at every level, from the Rutland Recreation Department youth development program to high school and her present position as the Summit U15 girls coach.
A Rutland native, Lori played her high school soccer at Mt. St. Joseph Academy, and went on to become a collegiate ski racer at St. Michael’s College (VT). She began her coaching career running camps and clinics in the Rutland area, while also leading the Rutland Town Middle School and Rutland High School JV programs. Since 2000, she has been the head varsity girls coach at RHS, where her teams have won 9 MVL titles, competed in 3 Division I semifinals, and made an appearance in the state championship game. Along the way, Coach McClallen has produced 2 All-Americans, 3 All-New England players, and 1 VT Gatorade Player of the Year. In recognition of her success and leadership, she has been voted MVL Coach of the Year 9 times, has served on the Twin State Lions Cup staff 5 times, and in 2004 was named the Vermont Soccer Coaches Association Vermont Coach of the Year.
Coach McClallen holds a US Soccer State License and was named a 2017 United Soccer Coaches “Coach of Significance.” In addition to her many roles coaching soccer, she is also the Program Director for the Pico Ski Club.
